When I was pregnant with my son, I never really intended to use pacifiers at all, since I was concerned they would interfere with breastfeeding. However, after a few sleep-deprived weeks, we quickly grew tired of our son’s constant wailing at every diaper change. The pacifier was a convenient solution.

We started with several different kinds of BPA-free pacifiers, but when it became clear that pacifiers were becoming a more permanent fixture in our lives as our son started using them to soothe himself to sleep, I decided I wanted to use something made from natural materials. Our solution was rubber pacifiers.
