Newman’s Own Organics Snack Foods Review

If you’re anything like me, having a big box stuffed with chocolates and cookies arrive at your door is a wonderful treat. I was fortunate to receive such a box recently courtesy of Newman’s Own Organics.
I’ve been a fan of this company for years. Not only do their foods taste good and incorporate organic ingredients, but a portion of their sales goes to the Newman’s Own Foundation, which helps to support educational and charitable groups.
You can read a more detailed review of some of the products I received here, but I’d say my favorite products were the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies and Pomegranate Licorice Twists. These were both new flavors for me, and I think Newman’s Own Organics pulled them off well.
Now, if you’re a regular reader of my blog, you know that my family tries to eat healthy snacks. With the exception of Newman’s Own Organics dried fruits, I wouldn’t consider any of these health foods. These are indulgences. But if you’re going to indulge, I think these are great options because they contain natural and organic ingredients.
I should also note that the Newman’s Own Organic dried fruits are the only products I’d consider safe for consumption for individuals with celiac disease. These products are produced in a facility that is free of peanuts, tree nuts, milk, gluten and casein. Newman’s Own Organics chocolate bars, chocolate cups, No Salt/No Butter Pop’s Corn, olive oil and balsamic vinegar do not contain gluten, but they are made on equipment that processes other products containing gluten, so trace amounts may be present.
