We try to use household products that are safe for the environment and free of potential allergens as much as possible in our household. Luckily, it is not difficult these days to find such products. Unfortunately, sometimes they don’t quite live up to your expectations.

One of the biggest problems we’ve encountered in our switch to eco-friendly products is finding a good dishwasher detergent. I can’t even begin to count how many we’ve tried that have simply been ineffective at cleaning or left a residue on our dishes. Having to rewash dishes because your dishwasher detergent doesn’t work is not very eco-friendly.

We recently switched to using Biokleen Free & Clear Automatic Dish Powder because it promised to be an eco-friendly dish detergent that is gentle enough for people with chemical sensitivities and allergies. So, did it live up to its promise? You can read my full review here.
