No Sippy Cups at Our House

As part of our resolution to give our son an upbringing inspired by Maria Montessori, we started giving him a glass to drink from from when he was about 1 year old. A shot glass proved to be the perfect size for his little hands and allowed him to improve his fine motor skills.
But it quickly became evident that using a shot glass wasn’t practical all the time in our busy lives. Particularly when traveling, some type of portable bottle became necessary. Although I was initially opposed to the idea of using any sippy cups at all, I decided to give the Kid Kanteen sippy a try.
However, our son had no interest in using it until we upgraded him to a sport top. It has been his regular water bottle ever since.
Recently, thanks to the retirement of his Thermos water bottle, I decided to get him a new Kid Kanteen. And I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the folks at Klean Kanteen had taken what was my favorite kids’ water bottle and made it even better.
