Choosing Eco-Friendly Pocket Diapers

When it comes to fabrics, I’m a big believer in keeping things as natural as possible, particularly when it comes to cloth diapers. My personal favorite fabric for cloth diapers is organic cotton. I just feel better knowing that natural fabrics are next to my son’s skin, especially because his skin is so sensitive.

A lot of cloth diapers on the market today feature manmade fabrics like polyester and polyurethane laminate (PUL). Of course, there are advantages to these fabrics as well. Polyester fabrics can keep your baby dry, reducing the chance of diaper rash, and PUL covers are great for keeping wetness in.

There are really so many different types of cloth diapers available that there is something that can work well for every family and every baby. The trouble is finding it.

If you’re looking for pocket diapers made with recycled materials or natural fibers, I hope you’ll check out my latest article on About.com. And if you’ve tried any of these diapers out or have found a great diaper that should be added to the list, let us know.
